Is this HIPAA-compliant?
The system records locally to a dedicated PC and stores files on the local drive. No recordings pass through any cloud server or third-party service. Where data lives and who accesses it remains entirely under your control, the same as any file on your own computer. As always, consult your compliance advisor about your specific obligations.
How difficult is this to set up?
With White Glove service, not difficult at all, for you. We handle the physical mount, cable routing, software configuration, and transcription setup. On the day we leave, you press a green button to start recording and a red button to stop. That's the entire workflow for your staff.
Does this work in a home office or home-based practice?
Yes, most clients are in exactly this situation. The conference camera sits on a shelf or desktop surface and is unobtrusive in any room. The mini PC fits in a cabinet or under a desk. Surface cable routing requires no drilling into walls and is fully reversible. The whole footprint is minimal and professional.
Do I need a separate observation room?
No. The most common setup is a single room, camera on a shelf or surface, mini PC tucked under the desk or in a cabinet, recording controller on the desk. No second room, no observation window, no additional infrastructure needed.
What if something breaks or stops working?
All equipment comes from major retailers with standard manufacturer warranties and easy return policies. 30-day remote support is included with White Glove service. Because the mini PC is dedicated to recording only, most issues are straightforward to diagnose and resolve remotely.
